What it covers

From the firm's promo page: ALPHA50 takes 50% off Standard, Advanced and Direct; for Zero use ALPHA40 (40% off). Both run 6–31 October 2026 and cover evaluation fees only; the firm does not say whether monthly rebills keep the discount.

What Alpha Futures is, and who it suits

What the firm is, who it suits, and what you will trade it on.

XSR summary

Alpha Futures is the futures firm of the UK's Alpha Group, home of Alpha Capital Group, led by founder and managing director George Kohler. It sells three monthly evaluations — Zero, Standard and Advanced — plus Direct, a one-time fee that starts you on a Qualified Account. Every plan uses an end-of-day trailing Maximum Loss Limit that stops at the starting balance and stays put when you withdraw, and every plan pays 90%. Payouts need five winning days of $200 and are capped per request ($15,000 on Advanced). The caveat: in July 2026 NinjaTrader/Tradovate ended the partnership, Alpha closed and refunded its Premium plan, and payouts that used to be same-day now take up to five business days after approval.

Leverage and limits
Contract caps: Zero 1 / 3 / 6 minis (25K / 50K / 100K); Standard and Advanced 5 / 10 / 15 (50K / 100K / 150K); Direct 2 / 4 / 8 / 10. Micros count 10 to 1, but each MBT or MET counts as a full mini. Zero (50K, 100K) and Standard Qualified Accounts follow a scaling plan that starts smaller and grows with profit; Advanced, Direct and Zero 25K do not scale.
Commissions

Alpha Futures challenges and prices

Pick a program and a size. Every number is the firm's list price and rule before any code.

The cheapest evaluation and the only one with a $25K size; never an activation fee. No consistency rule on the evaluation, so one day can pass it — but both stages carry a 2% Daily Loss Guard and the payout caps are the lowest. Rebills every month until you pass or cancel.

The loss limit trails your closing balance once a day. Overnight profits raise your floor; intraday swings do not.

Illustration: a made-up path held to this account's real limits.

Once you are funded

No activation fee. The Qualified Account keeps the same MLL and 2% Daily Loss Guard and adds a 40% consistency rule (since your last request), a scaling plan on 50K and 100K, and no orders within 2 minutes of high-impact news. Request after every 5 winning days of $200+, up to 4 times a month, up to 50% of account profit: $200 minimum, $1,000 / $1,500 / $2,500 maximum.

Alpha Futures rules, in plain words

Most dangerous first. Each one says what the rule is, how it is measured, and what it looks like on a real account.

2 Strict5 Watch out1 Good to know

  1. Maximum Loss Limit: end-of-day trailing, breached intraday

    Strict

On every account the MLL follows your highest end-of-day balance, ignores open profit during the day, and stops at the starting balance. It does not move when you withdraw. But if floating equity or closed balance touches it at any moment, the account is liquidated: an evaluation is void, a Qualified Account is closed.

    Example

A $50K Zero starts with the MLL at $48,000. Close day one at $50,500 and it moves to $48,500; lose $500 the next day and it stays at $48,500. Once a close reaches $52,000 the MLL locks at $50,000.

  2. Prohibited practices

    Strict

Banned: AI, bots and full automation (signal indicators with manual orders are fine), high-frequency strategies over 100 trades a day, a pattern of sub-10-tick, sub-2-minute scalps, all-or-nothing max-size bets that use the Daily Loss Guard as a stop, hedging across or within accounts, group trading, stockpiling passed accounts to roll through, and VPNs (VPS is fine). Profits are voided and the contract can be ended.

    Example

Long 1 NQ while short 5 MNQ in the same account counts as banned hedging.

  3. Daily Loss Guard

    Watch out

Zero (evaluation and Qualified), Standard Qualified and Direct carry a Daily Loss Guard: when the day's P&L, open and closed, including commissions, reaches it, everything is flattened, orders are cancelled and the account is locked until the new day at 6 PM ET. It is a pause, not a breach. Standard evaluations and Advanced have none.

    Example

On a $50K Zero the guard is $1,000: down $600 closed with an open trade at –$400, you are flattened and locked out until 6 PM ET.

  4. Flat by 4:20 PM ET

    Watch out

The trading day runs 6 PM to 5 PM ET and every position must be closed before 4:20 PM ET — nothing overnight or over the weekend. If you forget, Alpha closes it for you, at whatever fill the market gives, which can still take you through the MLL or the guard.

  5. Qualified: no orders 2 minutes either side of major news

    Watch out

Evaluations and Advanced Qualified Accounts have no news rule. Zero, Standard and Direct Qualified Accounts may not have any order executed from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after a red-folder ForexFactory event for the asset, though you may hold through it. First offence: a warning, the trade's profit voided and that payout denied. Second: the account is closed.

    Example

CPI at 8:30 AM ET: no ES fills between 8:28 and 8:32, but a position opened at 8:20 may be held through the release.

  6. Consistency, for passing and for payouts

    Watch out

Evaluations: Standard 50% of net profit, Advanced 40%, Zero none. Qualified: Zero and Standard 40%, Direct 20%, measured on net profit since your last request and reset after each payout; Advanced none. Going over never breaches the account — you keep trading until the ratio comes down before you can pass or withdraw.

    Example

A $50K Zero Qualified Account has $2,000 net profit since the last payout, $1,000 of it on one day (50%). Net profit must pass $2,500 before that day is under 40% and you can request.

  7. Qualified scaling plan

    Watch out

Zero (50K, 100K) and Standard Qualified Accounts start with only part of their contract allowance and unlock more as profit grows; trading above your current tier is a violation. Advanced, Direct and Zero 25K get the full limit from day one.

    Example

    $50K Standard Qualified: 2 minis (20 micros) below $1,500 profit, 3 from $1,500 to $2,000, and the full 5 only from $2,000.

  8. Trade at least once every 10 trading days

    Good to know

The platforms archive an account after 10 trading days without a trade. One trade of any size every 10 trading days keeps it active.

From Hong Kong or Taiwan

Everything is paid in USD. Hong Kong and Taiwan traders can use a SWIFT wire, Wise or Rise; ACH is for US banks. Mainland China is restricted; Hong Kong and Taiwan are not. Since the July 2026 platform change, payouts take up to five business days after approval instead of same day.

Can Hong Kong and Taiwan traders use Alpha Futures?

Read from the firm's own list. A firm that bans Hong Kong or Taiwan is not listed on XSR at all.

  • Founding date: the firm's About page says Q3 2023, while Companies House shows Alpha Futures Limited incorporated on 17 April 2024.
  • The firm does not say how it treats Hong Kong residents who hold PRC-issued documents; the list names only 'China', not Hong Kong.
  • Direct 50K per-request cap: one help article says $1,500; the price card and two other articles say $2,000, which this page uses.
  • The HQ city is the registered office printed in the site footer (Harpenden); the firm names no operating city, and its Alpha Prime trading floor is in London.
  • Payout speed is the firm's 15 September 2026 statement (within five business days of approval); third parties reported delays before that, and pending Premium payouts are still paid in batches.
